typical of vintage mouthpieces. It reminds the brightness of old Meyer Bros NY, with the addition of<\/p>\n
the typical projection of modern mouthpieces. Its roll-over baffle is not excessively high, designed to<\/p>\n
provide excellent projection without exceeding in brightness, thus maintaining the warm sound that is<\/p>\n
typical of the best ebonite mouthpieces. The Syracuse model for alto saxophone is available in two<\/p>\n
types: small chamber and medium chamber. They feature the same baffle, but the first one has flat<\/p>\n
window walls flowing into a small chamber, whereas the second one has slightly concave window walls<\/p>\n
flowing into a medium chamber. Although their timbre characteristics are very similar, the small<\/p>\n
chamber model is characterized by a smaller resistance \u2013 thus easier emission \u2013 and a tone colour<\/p>\n
slightly lighter and projected with respect to the medium chamber, which features a deeper tone that is<\/p>\n
typical of darker mouthpieces with lower projection. The high quality of ebonite ensures both models<\/p>\n
have a rich and harmonically complex sound, suitable for sessions as well as solos.<\/p>\n
Both models, S and M, if appropriately used by the player, have unparalleled sound power for an<\/p>\n
