GALILEO is the ultimate ligature for mouthpieces. It is made in Italy as usual at CG Mouthpiece.
\nGALILEO ligature ensures an extremely homogeneous feeling while playing along the whole range of the horn. It is a real sculpture carved from solid rod of a pure brass alloy (lead free brass without any welding points). Selected material by GC Mouthpiece for its exceptional acoustics attributes, worked following the grain of the metal (method already used by CG Mouthpiece Italy for its fine metal mouthpieces). The upper side of the ligature perfectly wraps the mouthpiece guaranteeing a solid support, then, the design proceeds drawing a light arc shape: like a little leaf spring, GALILEO allows a calibrated pressure of the plate on the reed.
\nThe pressure amount is regulated by a solid brass screw.
\nThe brass screw is fixed by pressure to the plate, without the aid of additional screws or welding points.
\nThe plate, which is also made from a solid brass, is able to follow the shape of the back of the reed, which is not always symmetrical, allowing a solid support of its rails also oriented in the direction of the wood\u2019s grain. The plate rails are tailored to fit the curvature of the reed and do not leave marks on it.
