The bronze chosen is a particular alloy in which the lead is absent, we selected for its excellent acoustic characteristics, physical and mechanical. It &lsquo;also called \u00ab\u00a0marine bronze\u00a0\u00bb as mostly used in the shipping industry due to its resistance to corrosion and wear. And &lsquo;undoubtedly the finest bronze on the market and that therefore a further added value to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/112515203@N05\/albums\/72157651758710782\">our mouthpieces<\/a>. Our bronze has proved more difficult to machine than brass: the latter, especially in manual processing, is more \u00ab\u00a0dry\u00a0\u00bb and therefore easier to handle particularly for the benefit of processing times. But the bronze we selected has definitely more interesting acoustic features and, despite the greater difficulty in processing, we elected him as the only material from which \u00ab\u00a0sculpt\u00a0\u00bb our metal mouthpieces. Models of our production as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1eXWUF7sllI\">ROMA<\/a> and FLORENCE, designed to give projection and brilliance to the sound, have particularly benefited from this choice: our bronze gave them a bright timbre and at the same time rich and full-bodied.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-20416 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Bronze\" width=\"304\" height=\"228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-149x112.jpg 149w, https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-450x338.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze-555x417.jpg 555w, https:\/\/www.cgmouthpiece.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Bronze.jpg 926w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 304px) 100vw, 304px\" \/>Most noticeable has proved the difference in acoustics in <em>enonite\u00a0<\/em>and <em>hard rubber<\/em> mouthpieces.<\/p>\n<p>Many of you will say <em>\u00ab\u00a0ebonite and hard rubber are not the same thing?\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Often in the world of mouthpieces it is called \u00ab\u00a0hard rubber\u00a0\u00bb or \u00ab\u00a0ebonite\u00a0\u00bb any material other than metal. In many cases it is only plastic material derived from petroleum and therefore economic or otherwise of a composite material, mixtures of various resins and other.<\/p>\n<p>The ebonite (word derived from ebony &#8211; wood) or rather the <em>hard rubber<\/em>\u00a0is determined from the vulcanization process (thanks mr. Charles Goodyear!) of a mixture composed of resin rubber plant combined with sulfur and natural oils. Sound slightly brighter than the hard rubber and easier to manage.<\/li>\n<li>Hard rubber: a more complex, robust, compact and harmonically rich timbre (see spectrum analysis). Maintains its tonal characteristics although strongly urged (f &#8211; ff &#8211; fff). Timbrically a little darker than ebonite.<br \/>\nIn describing these differences I have considered not only the ear but also of the \u00ab\u00a0input\u00a0\u00bb of the body, of those sensations in perception that make me define a musician a \u00ab\u00a0single vibrating body composed of instrument and instrumentalist\u00a0\u00bb.. Those on which we should focus all of us when we practice the exercises of \u00ab\u00a0long tones\u00a0\u00bb and generally work on the sound.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The spectrum analysis will perhaps clarify the concept of \u00ab\u00a0solid, compact and harmonically rich\u00a0\u00bb, again comparing the two analyzes (below the Ebonite, on top of the hard rubber). I have chosen to analyze the characteristic features of the main registers: low, central and high register\u00a0on tenor sax:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-20428\"
