La robusta vite è fissata alla placchetta a pressione, senza l'ausilio di viti. La placchetta, anch'essa ricavata da un pezzo pieno di ottone, è snodabile per potersi adattare al non sempre simmetrico disegno del dorso dell'ancia, permettendo così un saldo appoggio dei suoi binari anch'essi disposti nel senso della fibra lignea. Quest'ultimi sono raggiati per potersi adattare alla curvatura dell'ancia e per non lasciare segni su di essa. La misura II in ottone è disponibile in due finiture. Entrambe offrono la tipica omogeneità timbrica delle legature Galileo anche se ognuna possiede una propria peculiarità:
